Custom Sheepskin Rugs, Made Around Your Space
A custom rug starts with the space, but it really starts with the material.
We work with natural sheepskin and its different qualities, textures and colours to develop rugs around the requirements of a particular interior. The result does not have to follow a standard size or shape. It can be quiet and simple, or more distinctive, depending on the space and the idea behind it.
Our custom sheepskin rugs can be developed around specific dimensions, colour combinations, shapes and layouts. If you have a particular room in mind, you can share its measurements, photographs, drawings or reference images with us. From there, we can look at the possibilities and work through the details together.
Colour and Material
Natural sheepskin comes with its own range of colour, texture and pile. We select hides according to their character and can combine different qualities where the design calls for it.
You can work with a single natural tone or explore combinations of colours and textures. We also work with different sheepskin qualities, including Merino and longer-haired mohair, depending on the look and feel you are after.
Design and Layout
A custom rug does not have to mean simply changing the dimensions of an existing design.
Shapes, sections, colour placement and combinations can all be considered as part of the design. For more individual projects, we can work from sketches, reference images or a simple idea and explore how it could be translated into sheepskin.
Every bespoke sheepskin rug is developed with the material in mind. Natural variation is part of what makes sheepskin interesting, so we do not try to remove every difference between one hide and another. Instead, we select and combine the material carefully so that the finished rug feels considered while still retaining its natural character.
